Empowering talent and advancing gender equality remain central priorities for AmCham Austria. The Empower Us Initiative is a key pillar in bringing this commitment to life. Launched in 2023 in close collaboration with the U.S. Commercial Service, the initiative was designed exclusively for AmCham member companies to support high-potential professionals on their leadership journey.

At its core, Empower Us brings together two complementary programs: Mentor Us and Connect Us, both aimed at fostering growth, visibility, and meaningful connections across industries.

Mentorship that Matters

The Mentor Us program offers selected young talents a unique opportunity to take part in a structured mentoring experience. Participants are paired with experienced leaders, gaining first-hand insights into executive decision-making across different sectors. Beyond learning, the program provides a powerful platform to expand professional networks and build lasting relationships that support long-term career development.

Connecting High Potentials

Complementing this is Connect Us, the initiative’s dynamic networking stream. Through a multi-stage series of events, it brings together rising talents from AmCham member companies and connects them with peers and senior decision-makers. The goal goes beyond networking: it is about creating tangible momentum—equipping participants with the tools, connections, and confidence to take concrete steps in their professional growth.

A Strong Cohort and Relevant Content

The current 2025/2026 class reflects the strong interest in and relevance of the initiative. Around 80 top talents are part of the ConnectUS program, while approximately 20 participants are engaged in the MentorUS track.

Over the past months, participants have already taken part in a diverse set of events and training sessions, covering topics such as business storytelling, inner leadership, and negotiation skills—all essential capabilities for today’s leadership landscape.
