What does the United States mean to you personally?
To me, the United States represents a unique combination of economic dynamism, cultural richness, and breathtaking natural diversity. It is a country that continuously inspires me with its spirit of innovation, openness, and limitless possibilities. I would love to travel more in US in future and learn more about the different states.
What does the United States mean to your company?
For our company, the United States is both an important partner market and a key area of activity. As a personnel consulting firm, we support Austrian companies expanding into the U.S. by recruiting the specialist and leadership talent they need to succeed. At the same time, we assist U.S. companies with subsidiaries in Austria in finding the right professionals for their local teams. The transatlantic business environment is therefore central to our work, and the U.S. represents a dynamic arena in which we help build strong, sustainable teams on both sides.
How important is the relationship between Austria and the United States?
The relationship between Austria and the United States is vital—economically, politically, and culturally. Strong bilateral ties support investment, job creation, innovation, and knowledge exchange, benefiting both countries in countless ways.
How can the ties between both countries be further strengthened and deepened?
Strengthening these ties requires continuous dialogue, predictable regulatory frameworks, and active support for cross-border business activities. Expanding exchange programs, encouraging joint research initiatives, and reducing bureaucratic hurdles would significantly deepen cooperation.
In which areas does Austria particularly excel?
Austria excels through its strong network of highly specialized small and medium-sized enterprises—the so-called Hidden Champions. These companies develop niche products and technologies for global markets and combine precision, innovation, and long-term strategic thinking. Together with Austria’s high quality of life and skilled workforce, they form a powerful foundation for international success.
In which areas does the United States particularly excel?
The United States excels through the sheer size and diversity of its market. Its large, highly competitive, and innovation-driven economy provides unmatched opportunities for scaling ideas and businesses rapidly. In addition, the U.S. leads globally in technology, research, finance, and creative industries, supported by a strong entrepreneurial culture and world-class academic and commercial ecosystems.
What can our two countries learn from one another?
Austria can draw inspiration from the U.S. in terms of entrepreneurial mindset, risk-taking, and speed of implementation. The U.S. can learn from Austria’s strengths in sustainability, industrial precision, social stability, and long-term planning. Together, both countries can benefit from combining agility with reliability.
